About
My name is Zuzanna Fol, born in Poland, currently living in Portugal.
My first vivid memory of anything design-related is from when I was around 9, had a fight with a friend, opened Photoshop and painted her skin green to make her look like an alien.
That was a not really glamorous beginning of, however, a beautiful professional journey.
Nowadays, I find everything that I am passionate about merged in design.
I studied linguistics, simultaneously worked in an advertising agency and, in the background, was always dedicated to making art in many different forms.
These switchbacks are what I use today when looking for the best references and solutions for every new project – I am able to think not only as a designer, but also apply the approach of a linguistics and communication specialist, advertiser or an artist.
Personal taste in tech, culture, psychology and all of the tech-related subjects is yet another nice bonus to my design workflow and solution-making, modern approach.
Design, to me, is simply one more of those non-verbalized languages.
It is the way of communicating with people beyond what can be closed in narrow categories of speech or strict grammar rules. I use the power of design to evoke emotions, solve problems, and leave a lasting impact.
I am Zuzanna Fol.
I am a Designer and I speak what is seen.
In 2022, I had the honor of receiving recognition from the Portuguese Academy of Cinema as the winning designer behind the visual identity for the Sophia Estudante Awards.
In 2023, I had the pleasure of being a co-designer for the ETIC_Algarve’s exhibition, “UNBOXING,” showcased at the Algarve Design Meeting 2023.
Between 2021 and 2023 I played a key role as the designer in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to shape and refine the end projects.
I secured a part-time position as a designer at the educational institution while still pursuing my studies, as a recognition of my achievements.
Through my design project, I was awarded with the privilege of embarking on a 3-month-long professional placement in Spain offered by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Project.
